Google Workspace Now Offers AI Features in All Plans
Earlier this year, Google integrated its top-tier AI capabilities into all commercial Google Workspace plans. This wasn’t just a feature update; it was a realization of Google’s belief that AI is an essential tool, and its power should be in the hands of every business and every employee.
Businesses of all sizes are actively leveraging the AI built into Google Workspace. Currently, Gemini delivers over 2 billion AI-powered features within Google Workspace each month, helping users save time and accomplish more.
Companies across various industries are adopting Gemini to improve team collaboration and enhance work performance.
Google isn’t stopping there. They are adding even more powerful AI features to the Workspace tools you use daily, such as Google Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Chat, and are also introducing Google Workspace Flows, which completely redefine business automation. Now, AI is more than just an assistant; it’s a partner that helps you design and execute your work.
Starting today, SBC will introduce the updates announced by Google one by one!
Innovating Business Automation with Agent AI
Repetitive tasks such as tracking approval requests, manually updating spreadsheets, or searching for information in documents consume a significant amount of time. While existing automation tools can handle simple trigger-based tasks, they have limitations when it comes to understanding context or requiring reasoning.
Google Workspace Flows is designed to solve these problems. Flows leverage AI that can actually investigate, analyze information, and generate content to automate complex processes involving multiple steps.
Flows also allow you to use Gems, which are custom AI agents built by users based on Gemini. For example, you can use Gems to ensure marketing copy aligns with your brand tone, review policy documents and assist with approval requests, or intelligently categorize customer support tickets.
Workspace Flows understands context by referencing files in Google Drive, and then automatically proceeds to the next step using a custom-trained Gem.
For example, the demo below shows a custom Gem being used to handle customer support requests. Flows reviews the submitted form, identifies the key issues, researches solutions, drafts appropriate responses, and then flags it for the support team to review and send. The key is not just automating a single task, but streamlining the entire process.
Workspace Flows is also designed to be easy for anyone to use. Without complex code or settings, you can simply describe the desired task in natural language, and it will automatically design and build a sophisticated, logic-based automation flow. Google is also partnering with third-party tool providers outside of Workspace to support an even broader range of business workflows.
Workspace Flows is currently being rolled out to select customers through an alpha program, and you can apply for early access.
